About Marisa:

I'm Marisa, an illustrator and marketing creator. I love drawing bold and colourful designs which have a strong ethos towards female empowerment through typography and character designs.

​

When I was younger, I struggled greatly with body image and self-esteem issues. Over the years, my body and appearance have changed a lot which took time to understand and love. However, I have embraced that this is my body. I have started the photoshoots which have been empowering and a great sense of reflection within my self lover journey.

​

How has your Goodgirl experience been?

 

I booked a one to one shoot for my 23rd birthday in July 2023. I wanted to feel sexy and do something completely out of my comfort zone. I met Georgia who made me feel so comfortable during the shoot that I left the session so confident. I loved the result of the photos which lead me to attending all the events!

What's your one piece of advice for someone wanting to attend a Goodgirl event?

​

Go for it! Regardless if you're by yourself. I went to my first event by myself which can seem a little daunting. But believe me, the community is incredible as everyone is so supportive and friendly. Dress up in what you feel comfortable in or even change throughout the event, have fun with it! You'll see the results and instantly build your confidence.
